Last updated: 1 May 2026

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They allow the site to recognise your device on subsequent visits and remember certain information about you, such as whether you are signed in.

2. How Lexendo uses cookies

Lexendo uses a minimal set of cookies. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies. The cookies we use fall into the following categories:

Strictly necessary cookies

These cookies are required for the platform to function. They cannot be switched off. They include:

  • Authentication session cookie:set by Supabase when you sign in. Keeps you logged in for the duration of your session. Expires when you sign out or after 7 days of inactivity.
  • CSRF token:protects form submissions from cross-site request forgery attacks. Session-scoped.

Functional cookies and local storage

These are used to remember preferences within your browser session:

  • lex_demo_used:stored in localStorage (not a cookie). Records how many questions you have asked Lex in the public demo (limit: 3). Cleared when you clear your browser data.
  • lexendo_partner_banner_dismissed:stored in localStorage. Records whether you have dismissed the Advisory Circle banner. Persists until you clear browser data.

Analytics

Lexendo does not currently use analytics cookies or third-party analytics services. If we introduce analytics in the future, this policy will be updated and you will be asked for consent where required by law.

3. Third-party cookies

We do not serve third-party advertising cookies. Our payment provider (Stripe) may set its own cookies when you access the checkout flow. Stripe's cookie use is governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy.

4. How to control cookies

You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Instructions for the most common browsers:

  • Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
  • Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
  • Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
  • Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions

Please note that disabling strictly necessary cookies will prevent you from signing in to the Lexendo platform.

5. Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects when material changes were last made. We will notify signed-in users of significant changes by email.
